In the event of an acute sickness or injury, a paediatric emergency medicine physician provides urgent recognition, evaluation, care, stabilisation, and disposal of infants and children. Childhood obesity has increased dramatically in recent decades, posing a serious threat to today's youth's health and well-being. Childhood obesity is linked to a number of cardiac metabolic effects, all of which lead to a lower quality of life. The implementation of a multidisciplinary care approach and best practise guidelines are critical to giving the best possible care to this vulnerable patient population.
